Sunday night's Brewmaster Dinner featuring Idaho's
Grand Teton Brewing Co. was another excellent showcase of food and beer pairings, and was a personal favorite of recent dinners. The beers were carefully matched with each dish allowing the characteristics of each to shine, while maintaining a unique interplay of balance and contrast. Thanks to those of you who made it out, but for those that didn't here's what you missed:
smoked tomato & fennel broth with basil goat cheese, house made cracker and Sweetgrass American pale ale |
red snapper with citrus butter pommes anna and roasted winter vegetables with Howling Wolf hefeweizen |
chai-infused pana cotta with candied citrus zest and chocolate sauce with Wake Up Call imperial porter |
Tickets are on sale now for February's dinner: the second annual Grain vs. Grape Dinner featuring local sommelier Kathy Rohlfing - a food pairing battle of wine vs. beer.
