Get ready for a threepeat!

It's time for the third I-70 Showdown Beer Dinner! Last year we added our friends from Lawrence, Free State Brewing, to join up with Boulevard and Schlafly. It was such a great time, but there needed to be a way to top it. So this year, we're bringing in Kansas City's newest brewery, Kansas City Bier Company

Four courses, sixteen beers. And if you haven't made it to KC Bier Co. yet, this will be a great opportunity to try their beers (biers?). Then you'll have to go to their brewery/taproom in Waldo, because they're making excellent stuff and have a really cool space.

Make your reservation now for April 14th. $50 will cover you for the night, including the beers, food, and tax/gratuity. The menu looks amazing, so don't miss out!

Bring your green hat!

There's a lot going on in Kansas City this weekend, between St. Patrick's Day and Planet Comicon and the Big 12 Tournament. Stop in for a beer and a bite to eat between events, or spend the day with us watching basketball with a McCoy's beer! The weather for Friday and most of the day Saturday are looking mighty patio-worthy... and then Sunday you'll need to warm up with brunch and Bloody Marys.

Then on Monday, you know Westport will be throwing a party. Join us for breakfast, booze, and live music, starting at 7 am! Get your best green on and celebrate St. Paddy's all day long!

Start your week at the Foundry!

Now that you've shoveled out of the house and are spending another Monday at work, why not treat yourself to a local beer for a good cause? $1 of every McCoy's beer sold at the Foundry tonight will help the Shelley family, a member of the Beer KC family. We'll be playing Thor, The Avengers, and Captain America, so grab a pint while you watch the world get saved a few times.

One of the McCoy's-brewed options is the Gose, making its triumphant return. The beer was great in its debut last year, this time around it's even better! Tart with a hint of salt. YUM!

And don't forget about tomorrow's celebration. While it may not feel like New Orleans outside, the Foundry and McCoy's will heat up a Mardi Gras party with traditional Cajun eats, Hurricane drinks, and Purple Rain from Louisiana's Abita Brewing. Come get your beads and laissez le bons temps rouler!
