Now on Tap - Mexican-style Cerveza

Perfect for the summer heat - the 2010 batch of our Mexican-style Cerveza. This birra is made in traditional cerveza fashion using corn as a starch adjunct and clocking in around 4% ABV. An excellent beer to pair with lighter summer dishes or great by itself on our patio. Light, crisp & refreshing, this is a beer to drink before the sun goes down...

Mikkeller Yeast Series - Sept. 7

Join us Tuesday September 7th at 6:30 for what should be one of the most exciting and interesting Brewmaster's Dinners yet. September's edition will feature Danish nomadic brewer Mikkeller's innovative "Yeast Series", which takes their strong pale ale recipe and doses it with 5 different yeasts to create 5 wildly different beers. According to Mikkel, "“the Yeast Series will be similar to the Single Hop Series. Identical beers – only difference is the yeast. It will be a strong pale ale – 8%, pretty well hopped but not over the top. Malt, hops and water are identical. Only difference is the yeast. I am sure it will be even more educational than the Single Hop Series. They will turn into very different beers. Planned are a lager, regular US ale, Belgian ale/Trappist, Weiss and Brettanomyces.”
Not only are we going to sample all 5 of these particularly hard to find (aka expensive) beers, but we'll be closing the night out with Mikkeller's Texas Ranger chipotle porter. Only a few kegs of this beer made it to the States, and while most of them were designated to Texas, we secured one just for this dinner. Tickets are only $45 including tax and gratuity. Seating is limited to fewer than 30 people so come by or call us at (816) 960-0866 to make your reservations as soon as possible!
