Rare Ciders at the Foundry - 8.23.11

On Tuesday, August 23rd at 4:00 the Foundry will be tapping some rare ciders from two leaders in American cider production - Fox Barrel Ciders out of Colfax, CA & Crispin Ciders out of Minneapolis, MN.  We'll be offering flights and single pours of Fox Barrel's Maid of Orleans - hard pear cider aged in Sauvignon Blanc oak barrels - and Crispin's Joan of Arc - pure hard apple cider aged in Sauvignon Blanc oak barrels.

Read more information and tasting notes about these ciders at greatbrewers.com.

This is a great opportunity to try some of the harder-to-find ciders - cheers!

  1. This morning, I got an email about this event and am looking forward to it, but I am curious as to what the $12 flights consist of...is it just a small pour (4oz?) of Joan of Arc and Maid of Orleans or is there more to it?

  2. Yeah, the flight includes the barrel-aged and regular versions so you can compare them all - four 5 or 6 oz. pours
